This Stag came in to our workshop for what appeared to be minor rust bubbles and a dent in the bonnet, but things are not always what they seem with old classics. On close inspection, years of paint build-up was found to be causing unsightly cracks in the paintwork. After the body was soda-blasted the true extent of the rust was revealed beneath the layers.
We cut out the rust, fabricated new patches and welded them in, ready for a full respray. We kept it simple with this one. It’s great to see a classic restored.
